Taking out stock CD Reciever
i got a 2002 honda civic ex.. and i got amps/subs the other day.. and i want to hook it up, but i cant figure out how to take out the stock cd receiver.. the dealer told me that the lighting/security stuff hooks up to the receiver. is there a way to bypass that? and how to take out the cd receiver?

ahhhhh, you must of gotten your civic from melton motors right? if so, those guys told em all kinds of stuff and made me mad so i went and got my car down at victory honda in monroe. your best bet is going to be getting a new cd reciever with rca pre outs. good luck with your new project!

next time don't listen to the dealership people, they are stupid. I had the same question and i called Honda of America and they told me correctly that there was no rca out port. BTW what amps and subs did u get?
