Looking for sub and amp

Hi people,
I have a Honda 2003 Gli Sedan and I have changed the head unit to an Alpine 9815 which has 60W x 4 (Max), 26W x 4 (RMS) Power Amplifier.

I just want to add more bass to my music. i like R&B and hip hop songs like Usher and Ja Rule.

I'm currently in Perth Australia and I'm looking for a good amp and sub woofer to go with my ALPINE CDA9815 head unit.

Even if you are not from Perth, it would be great to get some recommendations from you. Thanks and I appreciate your help.

Brian
p.s. please let me know the best way to wire my sound devices as well. Cheers!!

i have both alpine and rockford amps and am very happy with both, and as far as subs i would go with JL or Kicker.

My budget is round about AUD$450. Is anyone one of you from Australia?
Perhaps a 2 way amp and a 12 inch sub will do, not forgetting that I
I've already got the Apine 9815 Deck. What do u think? Thanks mate!

idk how much AUD$450 is to USD, but a nice 12" sub thats good for the money would be an alpine type-r 12". they go for pretty cheap nowadays, probably because the type-x came out. they go for $150-$300 depending if you go ebay it or buy off a dealer. it would also go with your alpine route of audio too

as for amp, do you plan to use this amp just for your subwoofer? a 2channel amp will be fine with powering a sub or 2, but a monoblock amp (preferably Class-D style) would be more ideal for running subwoofers as what these amps are meant to do.

check out www.sounddomain.com and check out some reviews there.

when your ready to buy, check out www.onlinecarstereo.com www.savinglots.com www.thezeb.com www.ikesound.com and www.hookedontronics.com as these sites probably have the best prices on the net. idk if they ship international though.

hi,
I went to a few car audio shops today and got a few quotes.
They are:

1) Pioneer 12Inch sub with box and case & Sony 400W 4 way amp
2) Clarion 12 inch sub with box & Clarion 400W 4 way amp

Both going for AUD $470 including installation

Which is better?

Also, can you please advice me which way is best way to install and wire my sound system. My deck is currently wired to the rear speakers.

I got my last amp and sub stolen last time and therefore am thinking of the best place to install them. where is best and safest?

Thanks man... appreciate your help.
Brian
