Funny story
At the audio shop where a friend worked once, and there was this dude who was in there talking about spending tons of dough. He was a young, hyper guy who was rambling on about everything audio - not seeming to have a grasp on any of it. This dude starts going on and on about how he want's custom kicks made but he doesn't have the funds to pay for kicks and the enclosure and amps etc. My friend who was working suggests that he leave out the kicks for now ($875) and mount the speakers in the factory locations so he can afford all the other stuff. The kid keeps going on and on about how the kicks were the most important part, etc. etc. My friend tells him that he may not even notice the difference. The kid nearly wets himself he gets so excited trying to explain how he could tell the difference between kicks and another location for any speakers in any car 
. Anyway, my buddy agrees and starts talking about speakers with the kid. He mentions MB Quart and the kid had never heard em. So, my friend told the kid to get into the Audi A4 in the garage and take a listen. He does. We fired up the Quarts in the Audi. Staring down at a fresh set of kicks - Kick pods BTW, not even in the kick location but in the corner of the floor - the kid exclaims that "this is how only a kick panel setup can produce sound this sweet. This is what I want, give me this, and I'll be totally happy." Cool, sold on the Quarts. My friend then explained that the kicks sitting on the floor of his personal Audi were a project by the trainee in install. They were empty. Not only were the quarts in his audi in the doors, but only the woofers were there. THe tweets were out being painted on the bench next to the car. Unfortunately, the kid got really red and bolted. He didnt' come back. Oh well, what's a little commision for a good laugh?
