i have this head unit with the idea that i can put the video out to a monitor that i want to install into a monitor into the dash where the cup holders are. are there any suggestions to what monitor to use or if this install can be done myself?

You probably need a cable to interface the unit. KSU-57 <~~~ That might be it, you'd have to read the manual for the Head Unit. The manual will tell you what cable and also what kind of monitor to use. If you can usa a non-VGA monitor, you can get a Lilliput for like $130. http://www.mp3car.com/store/product_...products_id=77
