What head unit do you have? I can get you something that will work for about $50 - $100.
If stock HU then http://www.ben-johnson.org/blog/archives/2003/07/37/
If not go to RadioShack and get the monster FM modulator for the ipod like $70. They sound amazing. you can work with the wiring a little and get a nice install.
OR...if you have RCA inputs just get a cable like this...

This

(used to work at radioshack)

That's exactly what I posted! I doubt you can find it for $50 though... It's about $300 cost here in Vancouver.

whoTF is stupid enough to pay $300 for a device that interfaces with a stock hu? honda stock hu's are slightly better than the average stock hu but it's still crap.

for $300, you can buy a whole new mp3 deck w/ RCA aux in.

Really? If you knew they were made by Bose would you change your mind about that? I have to disagree! For stock HU's they are very good and made by an exceptional company especially since its only a civic!

Yes most wouldn't go for it because of the high cost, BUT some people want to be able to use a good quality auxillary device and do not want to pay the $300 deductible when their fancy aftermarket deck gets' stolen. This product is all about keeping the factory look, and believe it or not you'll get there yourself (turboslug) in a few years.

i've tried and i've tried but eventually gave up and went aftermarket because i couldn't stand how the stock hu just sounded like crap...

went aftermarket but also looked for an HU that "appeared" as close as possible to stock

as for preventing it from getting jacked, i did take precautions but i'm not gonna say what

but they're not made by bose...the stock 7th gen hu is made by alpine but it's very stripped down. dont expect to see any alpine features in it.
