running power threw my fire wall?
I have an 04 civic coupe 5sp
i dont want to drill my fire wall unless i HAVE to
so i am trying to find an easy way to run wire's threw a hole or gromit already in the firewall or anything :|
if someone could provide info or a pic of how i can do this.. PLEEEASE i need to run some wires threw my fire wall.. *sniff
i want a hoel under the dash so it can be accessed without striping the dash :|
so if someone could get me a pic of a grommet i cna pull and use or a pic of a lcoation i can drill that will allow me acess from the engine baya nd from inside the car. the msot i wanna have to remove is the centre console

Try the search feature, it's there for a reason, we have covered this too many times to recover it and search everytime someone new comes in. IBTMFL

Look for a rubber gasket the has a wire harness going through it under the cruise controlbox(right side of car if you are looking from the front about halfway down the firewall). It would be right behind the glovebox if you are looking from inside the car. use a coat hanger to put a little hole then tape the wire to the coat hanger and pull it through.

if you take the bottom dash panel off on the passenager side and move the carpet you should see the firewall opening with a bunch of wires wrapped in rubber running through. Its toward the left side of the bottom passenager seat. What i did was get a skinny screw driver, taped my wire to it and move it through the firewall from the engine side into the passager side. Then just ran the wires down the center or you can try running to the sides.
Be careful not to snag any of the wires with your coat hanger concoction. My earlier post http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=200042 tells the story of how I cut one of my airbag sensors. Just make sure that the coat hanger has not crook in the end and just keep in mind that those are important wires when you pull your power wire through.
This is what Pop was telling you to search for: It's a DIY.
