kicker? mtx? hifonics? rockford fosgate?

im seeking for an 2-channel amp for my component set which are 4ohm impendance. there polks and are 100rms. would 50rms to each be enough or is there really a dramatic gain looking for an 75rms to each speaker?

i been checking out kickers, mtx, rockford fosgate and hifonics lineup of 2 channel speaker amps and wanted to know if paying more is well worth it? i heard hifonics mono amps are good, but how about there speaker amps warrior series; (Hawk 2 x 50 Watts RMS @ 4 Ohms)?

im willing to spend $150 at most btw. any suggestions would be helpful too

Kinda depends on your components. The musical difference between 50rms and 100 rms won't be that noticeable at normal listening volume, but if you are into irrirating people at intersections, than you want the greater power.

yes, there is definately a difference between 50 and 75 rms. It also depends on what kind of amp you get.

the p2002 gives 100rms @ 2ohms tho, my speakers are 4ohm.

i narrowed it down to the Kicker KX250.2 or Rockford Fosgate P2502. i want the kicker more only because it'll match with my other audio equipment. but i been snooping eBay and sellers even gave a 'birth sheet' of the kicker amps and rockford fosgates amp and they tend to give out more raw rms power than other brands? so does that mean if a kicker amp that is rated at 50w rms x 2 @ 4 ohms, how is it possible for it to push out 66w rms instead of 50 of real power? was this tested when it was just warmed up and not when its heated? i bet they used some good *** monster cable wires heh.

out of Kicker KX250.2, Kicker Kx200.2 OR Rockford Fosgate P2502, which would you choose and why?

thanks all

I'd go with the Rockford because the amps are usually underated and put out more than they say. Also I heard Kicker amps draw power and aren't very efficient but I might be wrong.Besides,I owned RF before and never had a problem with them.

If money is an issue, try mtx. I have a 4 channel and it does its job very well! My 4 speakers have clear crisp highs, while the powered sub pounds the bass.

If you are looking to save a lot of money, I found a reputable seller on ebay that sells refurbished mtx, from mtx factory, comes with birth sheet with test results.

My joint sells for $300 at Circuit city and i got it for $90 shipped
