So Tuesday afternoon my sub just stopped working. It didn't pop, no burnt smell, it just didn't move or make any noise. Well then I got the flu and today was the first chance I've had to check whats wrong.
I started the car and turn up the radio...nothing. So I checked the wiring....nothing wrong. The amp status light is still glowing green so the amp is fine.
Ok. So I pull the fuse in the engine bay and proceed to disconnect my system. I unhooked the sub box and pull it out, then pull the sub from the box and check the wiring...nothing wrong. I then unhook the amp and pull it out, and check the ground and power wires....nothing wrong.
I then proceed to put it all back together, carefully checking each wire as I wire it all back. Put the fuse back in, and start it up again. And again....nothing happens. DAMN!!!
Then I see it. Somehow or another the master/slave switch on the amp got switched to slave. I switched it back to master and "IT'S ALIVE!"
All that trouble for a switch in the wrong position.
