Cap doesn't turn off, help !!!
I have a lightning audio capacitor. Model # LSD10DT-03. I installed it 2 days ago, and it doesn't require a remote wire to turn on the cap. On the package, it says it has an auto sensing turn on.
My problem is the cap digital gauge doesn't turn off. Is this going to drain my battery??
Is the cap suppose to stay on like that???
Any help would be appreciate.

Im not sure how that paticular cap works (display wise), but the whole purpose of a cap is to store power (a mini battery so to speak) so its always gonna have voltage unless discharged. If the display doesnt have a remote wire than maybe its supposed to be always on.......but again Im not sure.

I think I may have figured it out. The cap only turns off when there are no fluctauations in for about 5 mins. I think its my alarm that's causing not to turn off. Could that be a reason??
I called lightning audio, and they say its probably defective, but I highly doubt that.
Will the cap be ok being on?? or will I have a dead battery in a few weeks from now???

The lcd display will probably consume very little power. I would guess it would be similar to having your alarm led blinking.
Also, how do you know it doesn't turn off? If its in your trunk did you disable the trunk light? That might keep it on while the trunk is open.
If the trunk is closed how can you know it isn't turned off? As soon as you open the trunk the trunk light will go on and draw current and probably turn on the led of the cap.
Just some ideas.

Yeah you got a point there. I forgot about the trunk light. I actually got it to turn off. My amp and cap are both bolted to my seat. I folded down the seat and went into my house. I waited about half hour, and came back out. I looked at my cap through the windows of my car, and it was off. I hit my unlock button, cap turns on right away.
I think the trunk light was causing the cap to stay on though. I think it was off before I popped the trunk, and once open it turn on right away.
Thanks for the suggest.
My capacitor works perfectly.
