I have a 02 ex coupe just sold my unit and im putting in the factory till i get a new one. Im getting that d*mn code does anyone know how to get it or do i have to talk to someone at honda about it?

The code comes on a little card that u get when you purchase your car with the manual and all that. Its in a little clear bag. If you dont have it from what i read in the other thread u have to get your serial # and someone over there said they can get it for you...or go down to the dealership and they will charge you like $50 for it.

You should read the other thread there is a lot of replies....its like 2-3 thread below this one.

Look in your owners manual for your Radio ID card. If not in there, check with the papers you signed upon purchasing.

On my car it was on a sticker inside my trunk lid that also had the VIN on it

It wasn't in either of those locations in my car. Mine was on the card, and the card only. Honda told me that that's the only place it's at... WTF? Maybe it's just cause mine was an early 01 run?

there's a spare code sticker that comes with the deck. in the TSB, i think it told dealers where they should stick i think but most dealers do whatever with that sticker. some dealers actually keep while some just give it to the customer along with the code card.

even if the sticker is gone, the code is still retrievable...all you need is 8digits of the serial number and any honda dealer should be able to look it up for you on honda's Integrated Network Computer (IN).

some dealers may do it for free while others may charge you for code retrieval.
