sony vs pioneer??

I dont see how what anyone said here is "follow the leader" just becasue there is more for pioneer doesnt mean everyone is following anyone else. there is a reason why 95% of the people in this thread has said pioneer.

i prefer pioneer but there are like only three headunits that have an eq worth while.
1.)pioneer dexp1r
2.)pioneer dex-p9 w/ deq-p9 (30 band left and right eq)
3.) an alpine with there procesor
and some others.
other than that who cares about high voltage preouts and that crap because none of the units put any good rms voltage out of there rca's not even an alpine.
the only way to get great sound is a good line driver with a good eq, such as audio control.
i have had a audio control matrix, and an audio control 30 baand eq, and i can never go back to just a head unit.

Rep Power: 292 I have the P8 - and I love it. Easy way around having to use the **** for everything: program the presets. I no longer listen to commercial radio since I got XM, and my 18 XM presets are set, and I have a burned disc in the HU that has 26 different bands/comedians and I'm good to go. I'm not nuts enough to attempt playing with the EQ - I keep it to the presets and change them accordingly between music and talk radio (OPIE AND ANTHONY - XM 202). Premier owns - if I were to get another deck at any time, I would just upgrade to 860 or the maybe-coming 870.

i had the pioneer deh-6400
now i have the dvh-p5000mp plays mps dvds it kicks ***. getting ready to remount it and put a tv in the dash. pioneer all the way, their the only head units i will buy.

Rep Power: 0 As a consumer electronics sales rep, i see more sony products returned or in for service than most other MAJOR manufatures. In the car audio business, Pioneer is probably our top. Alpine is another great brand along with some clarion and eclipse units that unfortunatly my store doesn't carry.
