batcap 800 (+ other models)
http://batcap.net/Indexnew5.htm
im wanting to hear some feedback from the car audio guru's on batcaps. mainly the 800 model. i know a member here ran the batcap 800 and loved it. i searched around google.com to seek more info on this "batcap 800" and havent found much. probably since its not so popular in demand or crap period. good solution to prevent strain on electrical system? great for reducing dimming? great for running massive watts of power?
suggestions, feedback, inputs, comments, thoughts, anything

i'm sure you're referring to me
...i recommend the BatCap 800 to EVERYONE with electrical issues...i've run several systems, most of them AT LEAST 1500 watts, and for about 2 years, all of my systems were on stock battery/alternator and no Big 3...even with the KX200.1 and the pair of Kicker Comp 12"s i had, my headlights were dimming...with one of my slightly bigger sytems (maybe 800 watts total), if i had the headlights on with another electrical item (windshield wipers, heater, etc), my cd player would shut off when the bass hit...one day at a red light, i was bumping my system (around 1200 watts total) and my car actually SHUT OFF...that's when i decided i had had enough...so i bought the BatCap 800, and i love it...
my most recent system was a pair of SoloBaric 12"s and a KX1200.1, and even on the stock electrical system i had no headlight dimming, etc...
my newest setup consists of 4 S12L7s (SoloBaric 12"s) and a pair of KX1200.1s (plus component amps), and with an Optima Yellow Top and a pair of BatCap800s, i have absolutely no electrical issues...
i've even disconnected the BatCap and used it to jump-start a few friends' vehicles, so it definitely has some power...just my $.02...

the BatCap is not really a battery, so don't buy one and stick it under your hood, but they do have awesome power...i bought a Yellow Top online and it was damaged during shipping...it wasn't putting out any power because the positive terminal post lost contact with whatever it's supposed to have contact with inside...so now i have a nice Yellow Top paperweight...anyway, i had it installed it at the same time i installed my BatCap, and i ran my car (starting the car, running the system/headlights/etc) for about 2 weeks with no power source other than the BatCap before i discovered the busted battery and replaced it...
Yellow Top is a great battery, but other than starting your car, a battery isn't really used unless you play your system with the engine off...
moral of this story: upgrade your battery 'cause it can't hurt anything, and if you have headlight dimming, etc. i recommend a BatCap over ANY capacitor...

i reckon it actually is a battery by definition, but it functions as a capacitor when integrated into a system...you could just stick another battery in the trunk, or buy a microwave-sized capacitor, but the BatCap does the job better than either of the above from my experience, and its small size is definitely a plus, also...
