help with headunit install...

I'm trying to do the install on my 04 civic ex coupe m/t. I got the whole center console up and removed the two screws on the mounting bar, but no matter how hard i push I cant get the headunit to pop out. Only one holding pin popped out so far but i got that one out by prying. I've tried pushing, pulling and prying with no luck at all. I know i'm pushing on the right piece (not the one thats fixed) b/c i can see the head unit moving. Anybody got any tips on how to get this out. I know it says on the DIY that its hard but damn, its making me feel like a little girl. Any help/tips appreciated

j/k, but seriously it can be quite stiff the first time removing it, just push with all your might and success will prevail.

Push on the metal piece where the two 10mm bolts are. Pulls towards your. Reach underneath and pull till the console gets loose.

If you work at it, you'll loosing it. It takes a little time. Take a screwdriver, tape the end with electrical tape to make it softer and VERY CARFULLY pry just above the vents. If you twist and pry you'll pop it loose. I also popped the Air vents out and pulled from there too.

Or, buy a plastic spackel (SP?) filler from a hardware store. ($3 at harbor freight). These make great panel poppers.
