is the optima D34 too much for my 02 civic?

hey guys i just bought a optima yellow top, the guy that sold it to me said it was ok for my car but i read online that its only for cars with high accessory loads . so is my car safe if i install it? Any one let me know please

I have had this Optima in my car for over a year, and i have never had a problem starting my car...

worst case scenario is you never use the battery to its full potential. like filling your bathtub just to quench your thirst. your car will be fine though. as fine as it could be.

Which model is that fonto? It looks much bigger than the Civic suggested Optima battery. And it clears the intake too, so very nice.

I'm gonna take a stab at this one for Fonto, but it appears tobe the standard sized yellow top. To make it fit, it appears that he has simply added a stainless spacer to the screw, then added another both through an accompanying loop to secure the front of the tiedown. The rear appears to be secured by the stock tiedown bolt. (Note the new shiny silver screw on the tiedown at the front).
