Whats up...I have a 2CH Pioneer amp (GM-5000) that i was using to power my 6x9's in the rear....all was fine and dandy...sounded good...then i wanted to hook up my front speakers in line with the 6x9's....the entire left side on the left channel and the right side for the right channel.....I hooked the wires to the amp turned on the deck some lil smoke came from the deck so i shut the **** off...
Hmm...I have a Panasonic 8400 deck...it still works fine...I think I burned somethin out...now I get no sound from the stock tweets or 6.5's (Pioneer 2-ways) up front....and the highs on my 6x9's aren't there anymore and it sounds like sh*t....so anyways...is it possible to wire all 4 together on a 2-channel amp? I think so, but I think i wired them wrong...
I have a 4CH Pioneer amp on the way (GM-4000) and I'mma wire all of them to that one...but for now, how can I wire them up and hear my speakers again?

It sounds like you forgot to either:
A) Disconnect your front speakers from the deck
B) Tape off the wires that you cut your factory speakers from. (Maybe you possibly left them just hanging in the doors and they grounded out, so you blew the channels of the internal amp of the deck.
C) Connected the wires to your deck and not your speakers.
I'm not trying to make you feel like a dumbass, I'm just telling you what I'd look for. I've fixed way worse issues than this from some "Professional Installers". Also, make sure your amp is 2 ohm stable. For SQ, I would just amp the fronts, and run the rears off of the deck instead.
Hey I'm a noob. And i just got my old JVC deck installed in my 04 civic. And apparently it fried my electrical and cost me 2 grand because it had a amp rating that was too high or something like that. Anyone know the reason or how to fix it. Would be appreaciated.
My wires got fried. The whole car had to be rewired. They gave me the wire harness their all burnt. Went to 2 diferent shop to talk to them they said it has to be the deck. Caused a whole lot of **** with my car man.

that's bullshit, I've had 5 different decks in my 04 civic since I bought it, 2 dvd players, 3 screens, and a TON of wiring under the dash and that's just in the front of the car.

whoever installed your deck did a REALLY bad job. I don't know anything and mine turned out okay. If you can match wire colors and simple text, it shouldn't be a problem.
I agree, I took it to that mecanic before i took it to the guy that rewired it all. And the guy scratched up my interior like u wouldn't believe, burnt my floor mat and broke my cupholder and ****ed up my electrical worse then it was. Then asked for like 900 bucks. I didn't pay the ****er a cent.

wow there are SOME hi power decks that require running a hard wire from the battery directly, but it says in huge letters all over the box and instructions that you have to. Even then I don't think it would melt your electrical system, maybe just ruin the deck.
