I'm just wondering if anyone has experience with this amp. I would love to use it to power her CDT CL61s in the front and the other channel to a single 10" sub. It would be a 200x2 + 300x1 @ 4ohm configuration. Overpowering the fronts will keep the gains bottom floor and That's plenty O power to hit a sub nicely. Maybe even the extra 10W6 my buddys got floating around. Any opinions on the amp?

I dont know if xtant is in your price range, but they make a 3 channel amp that sounds like it owuld suit your needs nicely

Price range is the thing. The HiFonics sounded so good cause it was a all-in-one solution for $239.

if you install it in a location with good ventilation, and as long as she doesnt listen to it at high volumes for more than 15 minutes or so at a time, then go for it, youll never have a problem.

at least a solid 5 minutes at high volume if you tuck it away somewhere

Well, it's not a matter of saving the money. It's that she doesn't have the money. I've already taken care of fronts and the HU. The amps on her.

I don't know about that particular model but I have a Hifonics BX1000D and I have had NO issues with heating whatsoever, even in the summer.
