4G Max Power?

4G Max Power?
What is the maximum amount of power that a 4G Power Wire can handle? I realized that my amplifiers have been doing weird stuff, unstable voltage on Alpine M301 and speakers cutting out in front because of Alpine T-420 not getting enough power, because I have the wrong size fuses in the main power wire, and the splitter where my 4G power wire is divided into 2 8G wires. I have an 80A fuse right now next to the battery, and 2 30A fuses in the splitter, but I need a 100A fuse since the two fuses used in the spliiter need to be changed out to higher rated fuses that total to 90A for both amplifiers. Fuses in no way restrict power. Fuses simply disconnect if the current going through them is too great. Moving up to bigger fuses will do nothing to get more power to the amp. If they don't blow now, the amps simply aren't drawing that much current o begin with.
IMO you have something else wrong. Maybe a volgate regulator or the altenator are starting to go .....

4 awg wire depending on the length can handle a lot more power than what you're putting it through it. And yes, fuses CAN restrict power because it does add resistance.. however, it's such a small amount of resistance but I thought I'd just be a smart @$$ about it haha Anyways, back to your problem, What do you mean by unstable voltage? Voltage drops/spikes? As Regularjoe said, I think it's your voltage regulator and/or your voltage regulator if that's your problem. What's your voltage read out on your M301 when your speakers cut out?

The directions for the amplifeirs require a higher inline fuse than I have, my T-420 requires a 50A fuse and my M301 requires a 40A fuse. Yes, I have checked my grounds hundreds of times, the amplifiers are grounded on a good bare metal and I have grounded the battery better. It is not a stock battery either, Die hard if I believe. The subwoofer always works, the Alpine mono sub M301 amplifier goes anywhere from 9.8V-14.4V when I am driving around. When I am parked though, the voltage stays constant around 14V. You would think that it would be the opposite, but I guess my alternator doesn't have to provide as much power for the engine to run so more can go to my system. It is rare, but when it happens, the components (XR tweeter, Mid) on the right side will start to make that bad cracking noise which gets worse and worse until the sound stops. The Alpine T-420 2-ch amplifier runs my components in the front. If I turn off my system for a while then it will eventually fix itself but the left side is alway playing regardless. All the connections seems to be fine as well. I will try a 100A fuse at the battery and the 50/40A fuses at the splitter and see what happens.

Changing those fuses won't help your problem at all. Not a chance. Sounds like you've got a blown right speaker, a screwed up x-over, or a short somewhere on that side in the wiring.
I think you should get rid of your system. You have more problems than anyone else on this forum. 
Just go back to your stock stereo and all will be well and good.
However, to answer your question, 4 AWG wire can carry on average about 90 amps of current up to 50 feet. Fuses will NOT help your problem. If your fuses were too low of a rating, they would be blowing.
I think you just have some serious electrical and wiring issues in your car.
Perhaps a strip and rewiring job is necessary, or just have everyting taken out and redone professionally as you seem to have constant problems. That way when you have an issue you can just take it back to the shop and have them troubleshoot and fix it for you.
