ok so i got a Kicker kx850.2 in last friday. so i figured i have 5 tvs in the car so i will put the stinger battery i have from the front to the back. Next put the stock battery up front. so while i was at it i upgraded the gorund wire to 4GA. I hooked up the amp and everything seem to work good. Next day i tried to turn the gain up to like 60%. Soon as i turn it to like 40% then subs just start pounding. Or some the installed would call it motor pumping. I called kicker then told me to check the ground and make sure its getting good voltage. And it was. Just now i unhooked the back battery and wired the amp (+) and (-) straight to the back battery. Now the gains work all normal. I guess i have grounding problem, but no clue where. my amp is grounded good the metal by the tail light. I even get the meter reading of 14.3v. And one had is problem before???????? Help this making me go crazy.
Well, nuff said for me at least. The problem is the batteries are showing different ground potentials. This will usually cause a ground loop or alternator whine. In your case sounds like the amp is going into oscillation, meaning faulty ground. You do not want to ground back to the 2nd battery because it is showing no chassis ground. You need help, and BTW, just cuz you have 5 screens you do not need a 2nd battery. The current draw on the screens is minimal. Keep it simple and put the Stinger battery back in stock location, upgrade the factory grounds, upgrade the alternator ground and you should be good to go.

ok i completely took out the back battery. I just ran the 2ga that come from the front right to the amp and gronded the amp. Still the same result. I just wish i can find where the bad ground is. I tried grounding it like 3 different place already. i just dont understand how it could be my ground wire because when i hook up my volt meter to the amp it show 14.3v.

That's strange. Can you describe the problem better? Did you make sure the grounds are touching BARE metal? Paint can interfere with constant voltage.

Ok i have one wire(stock) coming from ground post and bolted to the metal and that same wire going to the engine and bolts there. I put the stock wire back, but the problem with the amp still the same. Strange thing is i hook up the amp stragiht to the battery i have no problem. So ground is faulty i just dont know where?
i usually use seat bolts or seatbelt bolts. those are some of the important point that has to attach to a chasis some how but not immediately to chasis, by standard. the crimped ring fits well around those bolts, scrape off the paint b4 puttin in the ring and fasten.

Thanx to all of your inputs,Every post lead to to different idea. It was tho ground problem. The problem was the rca in the deck wasnt grounded. So all i did was ground the outter shield of the rca to the deck and everything works. Does anyone know if it would hurt to do what i did? i mean i had the system playing for like 15-30mins straight with no problem.
