I'm thinking about removing my rear seat and doing an entire custom 'glass enclosure for my stereo.. this way:
1. I'll have my entire trunk for whatever
2. An excuse NOT to have people ride in the back seat
3. Another project to take up my time

Anyone with pictures of an install in their rear seat area.. post them! Whether it be fiberglass, carbon fiber, vinyl, whatever.. I have a couple ideas but nothing that really 'trips my trigger' so far... maybe your ideas will give me ideas.

I thought about it but I still need to see out the back window and I think if the wall isn't built all the way up, it looks kind of dumb

i'm assuming you have a coupe. how about this, take out the back seats, put subs in trunk facing the inside of the car through the trunk opening (taking up as little trunk space as possible), then, where the bottom of the back seat would have been, you do some fiberglassing and make an amp rack.
i dunno, just an idea.

just wondering, why dont want you anyone riding in the back? you have dumb friends like me to

they dont have to be free air because you can just make an enclosure that will fit up against the opening and then trim the back of the box so that its not seen when the trunk lid is open.

i think something like that would look hot.
