power invertor
ok i am looking to hardwire a power invertor into my car, i already have an amp ran to the trunk, as well as a 4ga -> 2 8ga spliter i believe. since i now only have one amp in the car i only have one power wire coming off that split, is there a way taht i could possibly tap the remote, and then run a power cord to the spliter, and then simply gorund the black, thus when i crank the car the system turns on? is this going to be tooo much on my yellow top? and if so would it be an intelegant move for me to get a small cap for the amp alone?
please let me know if my wiring idea is atleast possible? and if not then how do i do this? thanks in advance!

There are a couple ways that I can think of to make that work.
You could get a 12v relay, have that triggered by the turn-on lead, put that in line with the positive or negative, and always leave the invertor switched on, that way, it only goes on when the amp is on.
Another would be to open the intertor up, find the power switch and replace it with a relay, triggered by the remote wire again.
Another way would be to run a wire to a switch on your dash to turn the invertor on, that way you can play it when the car is off, but I suppose, your amps won't be on anyhow, so that's not much of a use
It shouldn't be too much for your battery at all. You can very well use the unused output from the splitter
