Q and A about clarion indash i had installed
hey guys i had a clarion vrx 745 vd installed on friday and the place that did it wired it up to the parking brake because they said it was liable if they didn't, which is true. well since all of us here have 7th gens, you know that the parking brake has alot of slack and if you can pull it up one or two clicks before it actually shows any resistance. my question is, since it doesn't seem like there is any resistance, can you ride around with the brake pulled up one click, or will that harm the car. I asked my friends dad whos a mechanic and has been working on cars for like 40 years and he said it would be no problem, i was just asking all you guys to see what the opinion of some fellow 7th gen car drivers think.

Just search, and rewire it yourself. Not that hard, and I'm pretty sure there's even some diy's for it, with pics. You simply have to redo one wire. Why ride around with the e-brake up when you don't have to?
