Scytek
Scytek
So for x-mas I received a gift certificate to get my windows tinted. Since the shop I'm going to installs alarms, I also want to get that done. Now here is the thing, they install 3 different brands of 2 way remote start alarms: Audiovox, Scytek and Viper. The guy I talked to said the best alarm system they had was the Audiovox for $550, then the Scytek for $450 and finally the Viper but they didn't give me a price.
I can afford the Scytek right now, but I haven't heard much about them. I'm not sure what exact series they are installing, but I'm guessing the Galaxy 5000 series.
Does anybody have experience with Scytek? Are the reputable? Specs can be found at www.scytek.net
Any information would be great. Thanks.

I've never heard of anyone recommending an Audiovox over a Viper alarm system.
In fact, I've never heard of anyone recommending anything except a Viper alarm system...
[EDIT] Any alarm is a piece of $hit if it isn't installed correctly! In other words, be sure the "brain" is well-hidden, the siren isn't right inside the grille where anyone can cut the wire without trouble, and stuff like that. There are plenty of threads already on this, so I'll leave it at that.
