Please help w/alpine amp install

I got my first sub and it sounds great! so I am running it off my component amp bridged now, but i have a second mono amp i am trying to install. Basically the question I have is, how to get the power and ground wire into the amp. The alpines have an openning much smaller than pencil width that I am supposed to jam 4ga wire into? So i can't make it fit...8ga may fit btw, but it seems pointless to run 4ga all the way back and then use 8ga for the last few inches. Any suggestions? I was thinking ring terminal but the ring is too big. thanks.

Get a distribution block. One that goes from a 4ga into two or four 8ga outputs. Run one 8ga wire to the amplifier used for the components and an 8ga wire to the mono amp.

Try and find a shop to mod the spade terminal or shave some off to make it fit. Or maybe get an 8 gauge terminal and mod the 4 gauge one to fit on the end somehow. Also check www.partsexpress.com for some different terminal connectors.

tbaleno is an unknown quantity at this point
They do make adapters that let you convert from from a larger guage wire to a smaller one. They kind of look like those adapters you put on a socket wrench to be able to use smaller sockets. http://www.cardomain.com/item/STIS48ADAPTPT
