i have a dvd player from Farenheit that i bought cheap just cuz i wanted to see dvd's until i put in my carputer, well i have Audiovox screens in the headrests, but i cant keep the dvd player on. how can i keep the dvd player on when i turn on the car? also how do i keep the screens on once i turn on the dvd player?

connect it straight to the battery and put it on a manual switch.. you will have to remember to turn it off or you will be constantly killing yer battery..
when you start yer car its going to suck a lot of power.. so its possiable that either the car will feel like it dosent want to start.. or possiably the dvd player might lose too much power and reset itself..

electricity isint my thing.. someone asked this before and im just half remembering what they said.. so if someone wants to step in and answer this a lil better feel free..

i want it to start when i turn on my car just like the HU, i have a cd player HU and then on the bottom i have the dvd player.

can't you hook up the power wire from the dvd player to the ignition wire of the cd player? won't that cause both to come on when the igntion is turned?

i dont know, maybe i can try , but i have no idea which wire is which, anyone color a color code diagram?

i'm pretty sure yellow from the cd unit is the ignition wire and red from the dvd is power. i'm sure there is a wiring diagram on this site but i don't remember where it is. just use the search feature
