new system or not?
currently i have a pioneer deck..pioneer 6.5s and 6x9s......2 12" kicker L7s and 2 boss amps....
I'm going to get rid of all my equipment and start from scratch........i was looking into the adire koda component set or some mb quart components....I'm trying not to spend over $300 for components. For subs i was looking at the adire brahmas but im not trying to spend about $800 for 2 12"s.....anyone heard the adire shivas? or what other 2 12"s would have good sound quality but get very loud. also what would be a good amp for the components and subs...?
OR
since the weakest components in my system appear to be the amps......would it be better to just replace the amps with something better?
and one of the L7s has a blown voice coil...so i'll probably be replacing both subs

Rep Power: 0 ^I also have a Shiva! It's great - plays low and always sounds great - I only have one - that's all you need! As far as the bramha - I cannot personally vouch for it however from what I've heard it's a great sub! I would go for the Adire Koda component set. I've always been a fan of Adire speakers and the Kodas should be a great set. I'm looking into purchasing the Adire Koda 6 midwoofer to add some bass upfront. The Koda's component set and a Shiva/Bramha would be a great set-up and it won't break the bank.
I would replace the amps. I'm unsure of what to replace them with however. I'm running my Shiva with a PG Xenon X400.1 - My components (DLS MS5) are run with a PG Xenon X200.1 - They're both great amps! I'm looking to buy a Zapco amp for my components and use the PG for the midwoofers once I get them but that's all speculation.
What kind of deck is it? You may want to replace the deck too if you're scrapping the entire system and starting from scratch.
Anyway - a new set of amps and the Adire set-up would sound great in my opinion. Try to find someone in your area that has some of these parts installed (or a shop) so you can hear them. Don't base your entire decision based upon the opinions of 7thgen members. We may love it but it might not be what you're looking for.
