Anyone usein them in a vic? I heard one 12" infinity Perfect VQ and it blew me away. It was amazing. So i poked around and found infinity perfect componet speakers from them as well. So i want to get them, need some opinions, better that type R???

i have infinity perfect VQ sub...and i have kappa for speakers....wow sound nice and clean....i wish someone would tune my system. i bet it would be better if i knew how to tune it. worth the 1k i put into it

First, and foremost, it depends on what you are wanting out of your speakers. Infinity's are notorious for having harsh tweets, and their mids not being able to go as low as their competitors. They're great for high frequencies, but the midrange frequencies are where they struggle. Should you decide to get them, please, just don't run them off of the deck, there'd be no purpose in upgrading if you weren't amping them. Have fun deciding.

Yeah it would be a waste with no amp. The tweeter thing may be true, which is why I'm running them off deck power and it sounds great. But they're also slightly angled away from my ears. The reference speakers actually sounded great in terms of midbass, but they're amped.
I completely agree w/ popcornplaya... i've got some amped kappa's and the tweeters are quite harsh and the mid's are pretty weak. They're terrific for delicate music like classical or female vocals, but they're just not a good fit for hard-driving rock/punk etc.
