Pioneer avic n1
seen lots of em, go to your local electronics shop they should have a demo.
-what I dont like is it doesnt play mp3/dvd's would be great to have 4.7 gigs of music
-the interface I found was a little laggy compared to their regular head units,
-You should really buy a double din kit and do the flip flop pocket mod otherwise the screen is going to cover your heat vents.
-even if you take your face off the N1 is attractive to theifs, since it has the dvd/player screen in it, a theif may just take your empty deck and get a face online, make sure you have some interal sirens in your car.
I say if you got an extra couple grand to spend its a cool unit but be realistic
do you really need mapping? if so you think its worth $2k?
are you ever going to watch a DVD in the car? When its installed it probably wont play dvd's while moving, (grounding the ebreak will avoid that, if its for your passengers)
its a slick head unit, 2k could buy you a nice set of shoes and socks if catch my drift

2nd, i definitely agree with the double-din dash kit swap...if you run your a/c on a hot day, condensation can build up on the unit and possibly jack something up...and i'm sure blowing the heater directly on it isn't such a great idea either...
and 3rd, the navigation is the main reason most people would buy it...all these features packed into a DIN-size unit...if they didn't there's a ton of other DIN-sizedDVD/MP3/monitors without it, and you'll save a few hundred...
i have the N1, but i am in the middle of massive renovation of the interior of my car, so it has never been installed...i researched it for quite a while before i bought it, and i was not disappointed...you can check out a great review of the N1 here...hope this helps...good luck!
