Unbelieveable is the only word to describe it i saw a post on another forum about it with some info. the cool thing was that madmike from west coast customs actually responed on the forum and give some info. here is what he wrote:
We do not like to advertive products on fourms but since you ask i have placed below the same info we email our customer.
This reply is in regard to your inquiries about our Drivesoft System products. The responses to our products have been overwhelming for us here at Drivesoft and for our Authorized Dealers. I want to apologize for sending such an impersonal email that may or may not cover all of your questions or comments.
The intent of this email is to answer some of the most common questions....
• Retail Price $2900 to $3400
• What can you expect to buy for the above retail price... 7" LCD Touch Screen, Main Unit with Drivesoft Software (DFS Pre-Loaded), External DVD Drive, GPS Reciever, IR Remote Controller, Wireless or USB Keyboard/Mouse with RF Reciever. DFS will include at least the following... FM, TV, XM, CD, MP3, DVD, VCD, Navigation, Car-Cam, Picture Viewer, email, internet, Wndows XP and more. See website for additional hardware and software details.
• We have had a lot of inquiries about specifications such as processor speeds, system ram, operating systems, etc... However we do not plan on disclosing this information, since the specifications are continuously changing and improving due to computer industry standards. In an effort to not increase pricing, Drivesoft will optimize Drivesoft System products with the necessary components that are required to keep up with the demmand of multimedia standards and the computer industry standards.
• Due to the great response from audio/customization shops, it may be as long as 45 to 60 days before an authorized dealer will be available in your area. We will keep you informed of these developments at the Drivesoft Website and by email. In the event that no authorized dealer becomes available in your area, then Drivesoft will consider selling it directly to you. However, Drivesoft recommends that you seek the services of a local audio shop to ensure a profesional installation with the benefits of installation warranty.
• Note: Pricing, Specifications and Features can change without notice.
If you are seriously interested in purchasing the Drivesoft System as described above...
Send email with subject line as follows... "Consumer Drivesoft System Inquiry" to sales@drivesoft.net
Drivesoft appreciates your patients... We have your information on file and will keep you informed.

I find it interesting that you just found this interesting after that episode aired about a 6-8 months ago. Try drivesoft's website for the real info, or simply pick up one of the recent Car Audio and Electronics mags (don't know if it's the most recent, but it's in the last 2 months or so.) They did a very detailed informational on it, as well as comparing it to a carputer they built for a navigator they did a while back.

Westcoast was probably the shop with the best reputation in my area besides 310 motoring.
