What Amp to run?
Right now I have 2 JL 10w6.. i kno its not good to run 2 w6's cuz of the ohm load. So right now they are hooked up to an Audiobahn amp (i kno audiobahn sux, stereo shop ripped me off pretty badly) and the subs are wired in parallel (1.5ohms) and the amp is at 2ohms.. i kno thats not safe, so is the jl 500/1 amp a good replacement? Also I have an Alpine 7893 headunit. And if some can, can you explain what exactly ohms are in simple terms. Thanks.
Ohms is the electrical resistance. The lower the ohm the less resistance the more power flows through the hotter the amp runs. 1.5 isnt bad for a 2ohm stable amp. As long as it isnt shutting off from overheating you should be ok. Just dont turn the gains up on the amp.
