Yep, they effed you on the charge for keyless entry. No issue. Did you check to make sure they didn't want an uninstall/swap fee and restocking fee as well (most places generally minus a 10% restocking fee.) If they are gonna charge you for both, I'm ionclined to suggest that you take it out yourself, as there is little work to it. That would save you a little green, then install the new one yourself, as the wires would already be ran/hooked up. Just follow the DIY, but in reverse. That's just my $.02
Thanks man. So that keyless entry exit doesnt mess up your alarm or your car?
How difficult is it to install it yourself. I read the DIY but im afraid that i will blow something up by connecting the wrong wires...does that happen or is their just no charge when someone connects the wrong wires together? My mind is almost made up. Im thinking Alpine now. If I can install it myself and save another 40..minimum.. then I will buy it from ebay.
I think im going to go back to the store again tomorrow and get my HU uninstalled, even though I will lose 45 bucks....It skipped a couple of times on my way home from work...I took the cd out blew on it and it stopped skipping.

Look, if you hook the wrong wires up you might potentially cause a little heat or damage. But honestly if you follow the DIY and the instructions from the harness, the install kit or the radio, you can't go wrong. Besides, its a great learning experience and a sense of pride. Besides, you can't go through life worrying about what if what if. Just don't be stupid, follow directions and pay close attention. YOu'll be fine. YOu could probably bake a cake if you read the dunkin hines box right? Well the instructions will be almost that easy. If you put an aluminum cake pan in the microwave you could burn your friggin house down - see what I mean, take some chances. Good luck, glad you got some quality info here. BTW, see what i mean about sony - already skipping tsk tsk tsk.
My friend had 3 sonys in the last 3 months. 2 of them were skipping like hell (both the same models you got) and the other one was heating up so bad that it kept turning off. Good luck buddy

Well, I went to return my CD player today and Im pretty pissed. I ended up losing 90 something bucks. You live and you learn I guess. Im never buying from that place again. If I do from now on I will learn how to install all of my own stuff so that I can save money.
Thanks for the help 7thgen owners and thanks for the link J187

Last time I had this much fun some furniture got broken!

sonys audio products (car anything and speakers of any kind) suck. Everything else like MP3 players and what not are excellent.
But Also when I had my sony cd-player in my last car I did like it. Now i have something much better and would not go back to a sony but when I had it it was ok for a cruddy cavalier
