Its kinda humurous until you are trying to get from one house to the next with the Yankees on the radio.
But when I play the AM it comes in with lots of static and occasionally all you hear is just noise. But what confuses me is how when I accelerate my speakers play my car accelerating although it sounds like a far away version of it with a really crappy muffler. Could this be a grounding problem and is it solvable or are Civics just shatty with their AM.

AM always works fine on my radio... if you have an aftermarket deck maybe you don't have the powered antenna booster hooked up. I didn't before I changed to my latest deck and got crap reception (both AM & FM) until I hooked it up.
Could it be that he didn't connect the green/yellow wire for the power antenna?
Whelan, do you have an aftermarket deck?
Here's a cure, get Sirius, I had the game from OKC all the way to San Antonio (6hrs) Damn it was a long game!

Its the stock radio with nothing done as far as speakers. It used to work fine and Im not sure what the problem is now. Maybe the antenna wire disconnected or something. I dunno
