i don't know about you guys or if you have even realized it, but after taking my speakers out of the doors the other day i realized that water has been leaking in. the only reason i realized was b/c i did it a hour after cleaning my car. has anyone else had this prob.
you can tell if your car has been doing it by each seeing the water on your speakers itself or by looking at the + and - terminals and seeing rust or actually rust anywhere.
has anyone had this prob. and does anyone have any way the help this prob?

Rep Power: 322 Yes, I noticed this too when I had my Quarts in my doors...I am ok if my current speakers rust fter awhile, because I only paid a $100 for them.
One of the Pros of kicks.

Rep Power: 304 The doors even have drain holes on the bottom to let the water drain through. Thats what that white plastic guard is for. As far as protecting the speakers, use baffles if it bothers you. Most speakers are designed to be resistant to the water.

Rep Power: 0 It's okay, just make sure it's not excessive. The baffles work, but the sponge type foam ones actually hold water. I noticed this when changing my front's a couple of weeks ago. The speakers were dry though, blown, but dry.

Rep Power: 304 Quarts wont sound to great with baffles. they like to be unsealed. I've had my quarts in the doors for almost 2 years now and they are still working great.

Rep Power: 0 do you have rust on the terminals mystic? is that ok?
how about this: what if i got baffles cut them in half and just had it "umbrella" the speakers.
what do you think of that. that way they would still be unsealed

Rep Power: 304 Then you might get a really muddy crappy sound, because its gonna be blowing air through the hole.
Also, when its humid/damp out that will cause condensation in the baffle, and just get the speaker wet anyway.
Smear dialetric grease on the terminals to avoid rust. I did that, and my terminals are still rust free!

Rep Power: 325 protect your speakers.....
I cut up a shower curtain and placed it around the speaker, you can't hear the curtain at all, and obviously is watertight!
hope that helps
