Just use the music you're gonna listen to for tuning. After a year or so, you'll have the range pretty well defined.

wow..i thought i was gonna be the only dire straits fan. sarah macclaughin is good also....as is tori amos...alot of female vocals in "sad" songs really show off the lack of depth and alot of resonance of mids.....
