Dual 12" Subwoofer Enclosure
Whats up fellaz...i've got questions...what are the dimensions for a subwoofer enclosure (dual 12") that will fit into our trunk? Also, I have been having problems finding a box to house my (2) Pioneer Premier TS-W2000 in. They call for 1.5 cube/chamber and i have yet to find a box to meet the recommendations. I emailed crutchfield about it and all he gave me was the exact measurements of my trunk. Mind you i have an 01 Civic Coupe like everyonelse on here.
I would go custom but I don't have the money for that right now...Help me out and let me know the dimensions of a good box that will fit in our trunks! Thanks playa's!

I think you can use fiberfill (that stuff you put in pillows and stuffed animials) to make a box seem bigger. I'm not sure of the specifics though. But maybe this replay will lead you in the right direction.

as to what box, this one will fit and is 1.75 ft per side, but after the space the sub takes up itll be down to 1.6 or so and i can gurantee you you wont notice a difference

if you really care about the box being the perfect size, get the one that's a tad big and put a brick, block of wood, chunk of meat (maybe not that cuz it's stinky) or anything in there to take up the space. it will replace the air that you are woried about being in there.
but as said above don't worry about the difference.
as for custom taking more money, it'll cost you less to build a box right if you have access to a jigsaw and drill. and thats even with buying a countersink bit to get the screws flush. make home depot make your cuts of the box.
box of about 30-32" wide is a good choice. no more than 17" high and that might be pushing it.

I had my friends build me a box and the problem was...we were all drinkin...so we built it from the inside out of the car...that **** was super tight...no room to move around...and the top of the box was hitting my 6x9 magnets....but we were so messed up already, we forgot to put a center divider to give the box individual chambers...yea, i know...budweiser will do that to ya!
