Need help with noise problem

I installed a Kenwood 8017 head unit in my 2001 Civic Sedan. I had an old Pioneer P605 in there before with no noise although the 605 only had 1 RCA output. The Kenwood has 2, front and rear. The Kenwood hooks to a Pioneer 4 x 50 watt amp which powers front and rear speakers.

The problem;

With both sets of RCAs hooked up, I have a buzz in the speakers even when the Kenwood is muted. If I disconnect either set of RCAs, the buzz goes away. With only 1 set of RCAs connected on either input,...no noise. Both sets of RCAs MUST be connected to hear the noise.

I'm baffled.

Can anyone shed some light that can help me get rid of this problem.

PS,....the buzzing is fairly low and unnoticable a med to high volume. It gets very annoying between tracks when u really hear it during the silence, or if you r playing mellow tracks.
