It is the normal size battery...not the special Honda one.

I realized after I posted this that I prolly should have posted it in Member's rides, but oh well

Well lets turn this into an audio thread then

What steps did you have to take to get that battery installed?

I want to do a full size battery install myself soon so I need to know EVERYTHING possible

It fits perfectly...you just have to take the casing off of the battery and get a new (longer) tie down...in the meantime I ghetto rigged it.

Regularjoe is on a distinguished road
I currently have an all Marantz HT system w/ Sound Dynamics speakers and a Velodyne SPL-12 sub. The sub is notorious for having placement problems.

That home sub you made. What costs were involved?

I just can't get my sub to sound right in my new place (it sounds good, just not like in my last place). I'm curious if I simply add a second sub if it would fill the room better. I haven't spent too much time playing with the sub placement. Options are very limited at the moment. I need to get longer cables so I can place it anywhere in the room.

Joe,

The Shiva= $125
Amp= about $120 (I think) before shipping.
Wood and materials (Screws, Grill, caulk, Carpet etc)= About $60
Wiring= $10

So a lil over $300...IMO, it may be cheaper just to buy something pre-made...but I already had the sub, so it is not like I paid $125 for it.

I currently have two 10" in my car now. Your 12"s look like they take a lot of space or is the enclosure larger than it has to be?

I like the Shiva you've got at home. I've got a Shiva in the vic - I love it! I can only imagine how it puts out during gaming and movies.

I love it inside...but I have it turned down because of my neighbors...it is a great sub...but it requires too big of a box to have 4 in my car

Fonto did you try putting your box all the way back as far as it could go? I also was playing around with the best placement for this paticular type of box, i have the sub zero vented box. I think sealed sounds the best closer to the back of the trunk, but a vented box works better when placed closer to the cabin. what do you think?
