amplifier question???
u know how an amp. can run at 2ohm or 4ohm
at 2ohm the amp will give out more watts.
WHAT'S BETTER FOR THE AMP?
cuz at 2ohm u would think it has more stress on the amp cuz its pushing out more oppose of running 4ohm.

you are correct to a point. if the amp can do 2 ohms, it's not gonna be a huge deal for a reputable amp. it will heat up more, but unless it's in a constricted area, it will keep itself cool enough to operate.
in the case of a motor, it's actually better for it to run at max output all the time, changes in duty cause it more harm. so common assumptions can be wrong. an amplifier is composed of many diodes (they make up transistors, which are the building blocks of amplifiers), which have an unusual response to voltage. they have a wide operating zone where it really doesn't have an effect on the diodes what voltage they see. i attached a crude diagram, you can see what flexibilty you have with diodes. the only big strains on the amplifier could be the power supply, and again, better amps have better power supplys. i'm bored, so i hope you learn something
on a side note, most of us car audio people change equipment before its life span even becomes an issue.

it's fine at 2 ohm
that's why they call it 2-ohm or 1-ohm stable, because it's STABLE at that ohm load given a proper environment (read: vented) to work in.
