when you buy a cd, look for the cd text logo on it.. some are created with cd text.
now if you burn your own cd's.. most programs will give you the chance to name the cd, each track, and the artist(s). i use nero burning rom to create my cd's and it works flawlessly in producing cds with cd text.

yeah and if you burn your own cds. your burner has to support it to..most major brands manufacture burners that are capable of doing cd-text.
unless you've got an outdated burner or some off-brand you should be able to do cd text

The sony MP3 Player doesn't support ID3 Tags. Which bites the big one. it only reads the filename up to 8 characters and the folder name.. my friends Kenwood reads them.. def a sweet option.. oh well.. it's not like i can see the display anyways.. so i guess it isn't that big of a deal...
