I was looking in a Super Ricer, excuse me*, Super Street Magazine and I ran across an ad for one of these. Go Here : http://www.beltronics.com/fx.html
I continued to read and found another ad for one of these: http://www.gtechpro.com/products.html
Anyone ever heard of these "Acclerometers"?:
Anyone know from experience how accurate they are?
Personally I'm not too sure I'd trust em'.
Tell me what you think.

Sounds a little wonky to me. When I saw it in a mag, I immediately assumed that it read some actual data from the engine... But when it said no connections necessary, I thought, wow, that can't be good.

They plug into your cigarette lighter to read your rpms (like some shift lights). The rest is done by math formulas programmed into it. The accuracy, I suspect, really comes down to how accurate your information that you plug into it is (vehicle weight, etc.). As for product quality, I suspect that they're good--Beltronics has been around awhile.
But all of this is just speculation on my part since I don't have one. Anyone else?

my friend had one of those, it seemed to work acurately. He uses it on his non-street legal nova at the track. We used on mine once and it was right on. Gave me a reading of 110 hp, forget the speed it said but it was 1 mph off what the track speed was, and was one 1/1000 of a second off of my time.

I've used one.. Basically you plug it into your cigarette lighter and the gtech sticks to your windshield.. From there you have to kinda center it with the ground so it's level, then you can get like 1/4 mile times, 0-60, suggested shift times, etc..
They actually work pretty good!
