Wow man, sorry to hear of your bad experience. Honestly installing in a vic is not that bad, as long as you go into it well-informed, something the Circuit City folks seem to have sabotaged for you with their "Sure it'll fit, now buy it and get out". The trunk can be a pain cause of the springs (which is why trunk shocks are so handy), and the front doors can be a bizznotch cause of the lack of depth...which the Metra speaker kit fixed handily for me just about every time. The worst part for me would have been when I had to run speaker wire into the door panel. That rubber boot owned me. Damn people should have bought kicks, LOL. As for the SRS - did you disconnect the batt before removing the seat? If not, then that explains it - I was dumb enough to let that happen twice myself. But the SRS reset DIY on this site is plenty handy, fixed it both times....oh wait, I missed your last post - you found it.

well the depth of the fronts actually were good for me. It was the actuall size of the hole (diameter) that killed me. I had to literally take metal snips and make a bigger hole in the door. Not the most fun.

The hardware blew on everything. Nothing worked. I had to drill every speaker to fit the stock bolts etc.

But it's done with. No more worries, and the srs light problem was fixed by the DIY.

worked good.

Speakers sound good too. I'm happy with the install now that it's done. I just know that nothing will be put back into the car when I get rid of it. It will be sold as is. Obviously after cutting holes in the doors. lol

If you had spacered the fronts, then the taper on the baskets might have meant less material shaved off. Hey man, as long as your windows go all the way up and down, you've got some good sound, and nothing's got a gaping hole in it, then you're good, right?

EEEEVerything is all good. I tried the spacers but it still didn't seem to clear enough. The windows work fine, and the sound is good. No rattles or anything even at very high volume so I'm happy. They seem to be doing good so far.

Good stuff. I just fixed a loose wire in my front speaker when I got home yesterday.
