Sony Xplods
I wouldent buy one. THey arent particularly loud, and they dont sound all that great. But it will get the job done somewhat....
How much are you looking to spend, and what is your goal? Just pure volume, no regard to SQ or what?
You have a box already, wires, HU?
Give us more info and we can give you some recomendations on what to get.

I would take 1 kappa perfect (infinity) over 2 explodes anyday. I've heard both and the kappa sounds a billion time better and is louder. Xplodes just make bass, and it all sounds the same, no matter what tone. I played the 'powerbox' bass mechanics cd on them and when the bass would go from high to lower it all muffled to be the same tone.
A kappa in a ported box or even a bandpass has more clarity than any sony subs. Go infinity, eclipse (for less bass and more SQ) or JL for a good mix of SPL/SQ.
IF you are wondering why im so set on infinity its cause in the past 4 months i have owned 2 Kappa perfect, and now i own 2 JL W3v2's. But when i had a Kappa Perfect taking 460(?) watts RMS from a Kenwood KAC-7201 it was louder than a friends 2 xplodes. For the same price the kappa is lighter than 2 sonys and is so much clearer and louder.
I will also advise you that 2 10" W3v2's with a 500/1 can blow away almost any dual 12" sub setup. But for $1000 it better!

ok cuz i was wondering cuz Best buy is doin a deal where u get 2 sony 12's and a Q logic box with an amp for 300. Im lookin to spend about 4 to 500 on the system. I want some nice SQ but i want the system to attract attention. Any recomendations?
i wouldnt say they're terrible but they aren't great either.
i bought one for use as a computer sub because it was dirt cheap. i got it brand new clearance for $35usd. still beats having a shiety 5" computer sub..
