Amp Help!!!

I was just wondering what the cheapest and most effective amp set-up is?

I am thinking to get a mono bass amp for one sub and a multi-channel amp for the fronts and rear components. The other option is to get a two 2 channel amps for the components. The last and cheapest option would be to drive the components with the head unti. I plan on getting a head unit with at least 50wX4 - is that enough? I don't plan on blasting it too loud.

Another option would be to get a mono bass amp and one 2 channel amp just for the front components?

Which would be the easiest, cheapest, and most effective?

Make sure you read the RMS ratings, not the peak or max or whatever other silly terms manufacturers use. No HU has 50x4 RMS. (Well, ok, they make some with digital amplification, IIRC...)

I have an mtx mono amp for the sub, and an alpine 4 channel for the speakers. Tweeters are running off deck power. It works well, and the speaker amp was only $200 for 40w rms per channel. Not bad at all. But get a mono amp for sure to run the sub. Good stuff.

If you are on a budget, you can use deck power and be fine with it, but if you have a few bucks to spend, I'd advise you to get a front stage amp as it will sound much better.

Decks that are rated at 50x4 are using their peak power rating, whereas with an amp that is 50x4, they are USUALLY giving you the RMS rating (of course, you want to check and make sure).

Get a Class D mono amp for your sub, they are the best and most efficient for sub power.

If you looking for a set up for subs and amp i have one forsale. I have 2 10" alpine type e subs and a Alpine MRV T420 amp.

The subs are 4ohm 600 watt peak and 50-200watt rms. The amp is 170watt rms x2 and 110 x 2 rms.

I was searching online and found the Kicker KX700.5 which has a 4 channel amp (to drive me components front and rear) plus the Class-D Sub Section for the sub. I'm sure some people have this amp in the forum - do you reccomend this as an all-in-one amp? It seems the most cost effective way since I could use to power everything. It would also save me money on buying 2 amps - a 4 channel and mono sub amp. What do you guys think?
