Hey Every 1,
i have a 04 civic ex coupe i just brought myself a nice little panasonic touch screen cd player single din i need to go out and get myself a mounting kit i have only found 1 in all of my searching on crutchfield and it doesnt look like it is what i need i would like to keep my radio on the top and keep my little cd door if possible if anyone knows of any sites where i can get one that would be greatly appriecated

search there is a metra kit out there. I had one but sold it......if u search the forsale forum u can find my listing, the model number and the site to order it off

If you have a Circuit City near you ask them for their metra catalog, thats where I got mine from. It was around $15 if I remember right.

I have the exact kit for what you want in my car, it's a Metra, I BELIEVE the part # is Metra 99-7897, but I will verify this for you

I just hope you don't have a flip face or angle face cuz with the face out ya really can't see anything if the sun's out.( at least that seems to be my issue)

Yeah I can't see nothin' on my screen when the sun is on it, it really sucks, especially since I drive a lot during the day. I'm almost wanting winter to come already

My screen does my same, it's mounted below the dash and during the day I can only see like half the screen because there is so much glare on it

It's not as big of an issue if you have some sort of 3d display (Pioneer calls it Organic EL). The glare doesn't effect it near as much. When you flip flop the pocket and the HU (HU on bottom, pocket on top) it pretty much becomes a non-issue.
