One-Touch Sunroof
I brought up this a while ago, but no one could write a DIY on it. The way the driver's side window works is it measures how hard it is to pull the window down. That's why it sometimes stops; its sticking, and it thinks it has closed, because to it, 'closed' is when it gets to a certain difficulty to lower the window. This would be very complicated to do yourself, so I had the following idea: What if you did a time-related switch? Measure the time it takes for the sunroof to open. Say it takes 9 seconds. Make a button that, when you press it, the electronics simulate you pressing the button for 9 seconds. I would think that would be much easier, and not complicated to install at all once you find the right hardware. Just tap into the wire going to the stock button, and install the new button somewhere. The old button would work too like it always has. I just don't have the electrical knowledge to do this.
Alternatively, attach a bit of metal to two spots, one on the moon roof and the other on the roof of the car. Make it so when the thing is open, the metal bits make contact. Now make that complete a circuit, so you know when the moon roof is open, and when it isn't.
My electrical knowledge is not particularly great, either, but I might try doing something like this... it would be really nice!

This can easily be done by rewire the switch to be momentary contact to ground. This can then be used to trigger a power window module. These are commonly used to roll the windows up on a car when you arm it. They work both ways. One model of alarm module is Clifford smartwindows, however Micro electronics and many others are available at a lower price. BTW, these modules can work independantly or with your alarm.

They're readily available from just about everywhere.

I would say to get yourself a double poll, double throw relay, a micro switch and a new push button. OR look in the yellow pages and call a reputable sunroof shop. they might install it but help make a DIY also.

I found this also, might work on civics also, but not 100%.

I do work with power amplifiers for signal amplification of nerve impulses. I used to install car alarms for a local chain. I've used the clifford smartwindows module for power window automation. It's the easiest way to do this job. You will only use one output as there is only one window (sunroof) to control. A timer isn't a good way to do power windows because the time it takes for the window to close can depend on the weather/temperature as the sunroof may not slide as easily in colder weather and thus take more time. The worse thing that could happen with a timer is you arm your car or hit the button and walk away assuming your sunroof/window is closed when it isn't. Then rain has the oppourtunity to ruin your interior. Those timer modules are only good for keeping the light on. Like having your headlight or dome light remain for X number of seconds after you arm your car.
