amp and rear speakers

hey guys
ok well i just re-connected my RCAs from my head unit to my amp again. one rca had ripped and was not working so i got off my lazy butt today and bought some new rcas.

anyways, when i was running my subs and amp with my stock stereo, i had connected my rear speaker to my amp so the subs would work, and had a switch to turn the amp on/off. now i have my RCA's connected and i was just wondering if i should disconnect the rear speakers from the amp. is there a sound/quality difference? will it sound better one way? anything?

any knowledge on his would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance!

It will sound better with the RCA's providing the signal instead of the speaker wire...

I take it you have a new deck now?

well right now i have both connected, so you're saying disconnecting the speaker wire and just the rcas connected will sound better

yeah i have had a mp3 deck for like 2 months now. not so new anymore, but im loving it! got a folding tv under it as well!
Do you know if i have both connected which takes precendence, if any?
cuz since you're suggesting using only the rcas i take it they arent working complimentary with one another.

I'm pretty sure they won't be working in tandem, but I don't know which your amp decided to take the signal from. probably the RCAs, but there might also be a selector to select where the input should be. In any case, just go ahead and disconnect the speaker wire, the sound quality should be better through the RCAs.

They won't work in tandem with each other... they may both provide signal, but they are definitely not designed to work together... just use the RCA's, much MUCH cleaner signal that way
