Help needed - asap

Gday,

Just picked up a 1995 civic as a run around car so my r33 skyline can rust at home alone.

Ive got the security code for the std deck (am/fm cassette jobbie), except i cant input the code???

What is the procedure for inputting this code, i gather its not a simple process of pressing 2-4-4-4.

Stressed....i need my tunes for work.

Well when you disconnect and reconnect the battery, starting the car (and radio) for the first time should give the code prompt, like INSERT CODE or something. Then you just type in with the numbers. I thought it would be the same for the older vics.

IMO, the best thing to do is to call your local honda dealer...and ask them about how to de-code your 95 OEM deck.....

then, try to guess of where the car was coming from.....ask the previous owner about the dealer when he/she bought the car 9 years ago.....

if you got it, then call em, ask for service department and run the VIN....or whatever you're using on ur Australian cars........they probably have it....

if you can't find the dealer......................

try go to Australian Honda website.....and if they got the same access to american Honda, you can register your car under the "Owner Link," normally, they'll automatically assign you a dealer....that might be the dealer where the car was coming from....

if that's not working.........

start finding a new HU....and the DIY.......it's pretty easy to change em.

icic..

well, to let you know....
there's actually a way to decode em......it's to send the number on the back of your HU to some doods on the internet....and they'll decode em for you.....

however, i don't think it's worthed yo.....

other than that? dealer is the only way.............
just call em, by phone...ask them to RUN your VIN number to find the code for your HU....

it's WORTH a shot, trust me! hehe, i did!

perth?? u guys got a huge casino over there, rightie?
