you listen to pretty much the same as i do id go with the alpine head, for the front go with JL's, go for the best if you can afford them, id go with XR 650 CSi components I blasted cannibal corpse on them and heard every detail,,,,,for the rear go with the JL 6x9 you have listed and sub and amp for JL also. That one 10w7 should be PLENTY BOOM BOOM
I have an Eclipse HU (CD5441) and love it. Only problem is that it is hard to see in the sun, but I don't touch it after I put the CD in anyway.
I'd be inclined to get JL VRs for the front, but that's because I just installed some myself (components) and love them.
I don't actually know how they compare to the Infinity's. You also might think about getting components. Assuming you don't have any factory tweeter locations (I didn't -- 04 EX sedan), you can mount the tweeters on the sail panels (the black things behind the side mirrors). Again, I can't compare this to anything, though. I can only tell you that it sounds very good compared to stock.
Also I can't help but think you are going to drown out your music with bass. JL w7s are db drag quality speakers... not sure why any normal person would ever need that kind of power. If it were me with your money, I'd pick up a JL 10w3v2, JL 250/1, and use the money I just saved ($500, if you are buying from Cartoys) on a nice amp for the actual speakers.
But then, I would have gone about this from the other end: high end front speakers and amp, decent rears, and then worry about the sub afterward. Actually, that is what I did do.
Any particular reason you aren't enthusiatic about getting an amp for the speakers (even if just for the fronts)?

Eclipse and Alpine both make amazing decks. I have a pioneer, which is also good, and infinity reference speakers all around. I would pick the eclipse out of the ones you have because it looks nice with the blue
I have the 6.5" Infinity Kappas in my rear deck - very good highs and the mids are excellent, that's a good choice if you don't want to deal with installing a component system. I have the Infinity Kappa 60.5 component system in the front- it'll fit if you've got the time and tools, and they sound REALLY good.
brash- i have honda's accustic feedback system now.. its good for stock, i think its 130 watt max, 6 speaker system...
i might do what you said and get the w3.. i dunno, i gotta test them out, but i was gonna get it piece by piece... im not going car toys.. just used their site as reference, i have a local car audio place that does clean installs and i will buy the componets of my system off the net, prolly crutchfield and get them to install it.. if i cant do it, i know the benifits of an amp for the mids and highs, thats why i choose decks with 3- 5v preouts, because i prolly will add an amp for the highs and mids. just later on

Get the Eclipse deck, the Infinity speakers (both pairs) and get the w7 with the biggest amp you can find. I recommend at least 1000wrms for that sub. If you want less, go with a w6 and the 500rms class d JL

this is true
many brands will not honor warranties from online sales. Sounddomain is an authorized retailed of many brands, meaning you will get full warranty.

im leaning towards the eclipse deck... anyone have a pic of the remote that it uses? also what does the right scroll wheel do? can it like go through a list of songs (IE MP3 cd that has 100+ songs?)
i saw this feature on a 500 buck Pioneer deck and i liked it..
this is the one i saw with that feature, its too much cash for me + i dont like all the graphics..... the right scroll wheel or whatever it is can go through a list of songs on an mp3 cd.. it was awesome

I'd do the eclipse CD3434 head unit, the infinity fronts, the infinity rear speakers ) I like to match up brands for the whole car), the jl w6 (the w7 is a waste of money) and the jl 250/1 for the sub, not the 500/1... but thats my $.02

I'd say to go with either deck you choose (both alpine and eclipse decks are good). I personally run a pioneer, mainly because I liked the display on it (organic EL, easy on the eyes in bright sunlight). As far as the replacement stockies, I'd say that a component set would be best up front. If you don't have an EX (not sure on 04's if it's the same) you can always get the sail panels from an EX to mount your tweets in. You can replace the rear fill if'n you want. Some like it, some don't. I like having rear fill because of rear seat passengers, though our stock placement on both speakers suck for SQ. Some say they don't like rear fill. Who am I to argue? The guy in Cali that dominates at SQ comps (his name escapes me right now)runs a single component set up front, with no rear fill. The infinitys are a good bargain, at most places anyway. For the sub, if you're wanting to save a little money, the W6v2 would be another option. It's pretty much the same (spec wise) as the W7, yet at a more budget friendly price. It's built on the same chassis, and the materials used are the same as well. For an amp, if you do decide to run the W7, I'd say you may want to consider upping the wattage to approx 1kw. Another option as far as the sub goes is the IDMAX, though you did say you wanted a single 10. The IDMAX does run as close with the W7 as I've heard (SQ and SPL factors considered). Also, you didn't mention, so I didn't know, were you planning on amping the components (front and rear fill)? You can run them off the deck, and it'lll work, but to get their full potential, it'd be best to run them off of an amp. Again, that's your call, as I do not know your budget. Just remember, a lot of the online places are not authorized dealers of some of the things they sell, especially with JL. It specifically states on JL's website that they do not authorize online sales of their product, and they do not warranty sales made online. Just make sure that whatever you do decide to go with comes with warranty, and that that warranty is honored by the manufacturer. You may never need to use warranty service, but it is good to know that if necessary, you can get repair on your product.
ok i have a 2001 Honda Prelude... it has honda's 130watt Accustic whatever system in it now
im thinking getting the eclips HU.. cept a different model, the reason being is MP3 format sucks in car Audio
CD5423 http://www.cartoys.com/cartoys/showd...oduct_ID=23584
Same features basically cept no MP3 but 5vPreouts instead of 2.4 or whatever it was
then im thinking on just getting an Amp and see how well the stock speakers handle... any suggestions on that? Around 50 to 150 watts RMS... or will i blow the living **** outta the speakers? whats the max i can do RMS on the stock speakers..? without ****ing killing them the 1st time i turn it up
THEN im gonna get Prolly one JL 10w6 or 2 JL 10w0 dont know yet... and must have an amp that will power them, whatever i decide..
if the stock speakers blow... ill get kappa fronts and jl rears
