Interior lighting (neons, blacklights)

hey I was bored decided why not put one of these things in my car...anyways, personally I love that black light effect, but I been hearing that those lights flicker...is that just a couple of bad experiences people have had...or is it normal??? should I go wit neons?

whatchya'll think?!?!?!?

Im feeling the blacklights though....oh and if I go wit blacklights, neons, whatever the case maybe...what brands should l look for???

you can always count on a Civic owner for a snide remark about what looks good and what doesn't

We have blacklights at my work place. Turns out the strips in the new $20 bills glow a crazy neon green. Anyway any good blacklight should not flicker. I've yet to see it.

street glow is generally considered the best.

yes blacklights give off a purple colored light.
I'm assuming the purple is a side effect of the way a cold cathode produces UV light. Cold cathodes are not neons, as they will not get warm as a neon does (or overheat if we are talking about the really poorly constructed cars) yet can produce the same lighting.

I have red neons...no pix I'm afraid. And to go back to the original topic I have a 12" streetglow blacklight tube in my trunk, which turns on when the trunk is opened. I've got my sub bangin away about 1 foot away from it, and it's still goin strong after almost a year. It's only held up there by 3M double sided tape, too.
