Stock and Component Speakers

On a scale of 1 to 10 how would you rate the difference in sound quality after you switched your stock speakers for components? 1 being no change at all and 10 being a insane difference

Mystic3030 has a spectacular aura aboutMystic3030 has a spectacular aura about
10 - MB Quart PSD 216's with a PPI PCX4125. It's like night and day between stocks and a *good* set of components. There is no comparison.

Yeah, I replaced my stock setup with amp (MTX Thunder404), components (JL VR650s), and HU (Eclipse CD5441), and the difference was insane. I didn't actually think stock was all that bad, but when I first turned on the new system I was blown away by how much better it sounded.

^^ They mean any after market 6.5" mid and tweater combo. I was just wondering the kind of sound quality improvement I could expect from upgrading my speakers.

there's more to it than *just* speaker replacement to fully answer this question. When you replace the stocks (which suck ***) then you should also install an amp to properly power the aftermarket replacements. With that caveat, I will also rate a 10 (upgraded to Boston Pro's) with a proper amp to power them.

10- switched all up front speakers to kickers and had 2 JL w0's in the back with a JLe6450 amp, sounds great worth the $$$, you dont have to do too much to improve but it makes a hell of a diffrence, I hate listening to anyones stock system now.
