The insulator is called dynamat! And search. This has been covered many times. Doors make the most difference, then trunk, then floors. It does help for sound quality from speakers.

1. I have a few small ones from last years 4th of July.

2. You'll probably need just one stick to do the job.

3. Preferably in your neighbor's cat's butt. (or your own but wear eyegoggles)

4. Depends on your desired goal. Either way, you'll soon be blowing the "****" outta something.
